Councils and committees

The Strategic Orientation Council studies the medium and long-term issues facing the school, analyses key challenges and makes proposals for major strategic decisions.

The Scientific Council defines our research policy objectives and helps evaluate the school’s academic output.

The Educational Advisory Councils (one for each programme) submit proposals concerning teaching and pedagogical orientations, according to the needs of businesses.

As well as fulfilling regulatory requirements (bodies for staff representation), the school involves and consults all of its internal stakeholders as part of its continuous improvement policy.
The Committee for Student Life (COVIE) offers consultations and exchanges with students on all aspects relating to student life outside of teaching.
The Committee for Professorial Life (COVIP) offers consultations and exchanges with the teaching staff on all aspects relating to their mission at the school.
The Pedagogical Councils (one for each programme) ensure that the resources made available are appropriate and sufficient to reach pedagogical objectives.

In 2002, its expertise in the tourism sector led to the creation of a dedicated school: La Rochelle Business School of Tourism.

La Rochelle Business School places great emphasis on the development of the personal and professional projects of its students and has put in place a unique structure for each programme, made up of a department for academic studies and a department for life experience. These organisations, which are part of a larger Experience and Personal Development department, are responsible for coordinating all pedagogical projects with a connection to experience: internships, studies abroad, Humacité, sandwich year, clubs and associations, etc.
