Olivier Maillard, Doyen de la Faculté de la Recherche et des Transferts |
The research activities of the La Rochelle Business School are designed to contribute to the development of knowledge in the field of management at both national and international levels, thereby contributing to its reputation and programmes.
Our research activities have the following objectives :
Research enhances the Faculty competence, from monitoring and updating processes of practices and knowledge, for the benefit of those who take part in the different programs of the school. The educational innovation that research generates, with the spreading of knowledge, facilitates the learning of responsible management and, more generally, the integration of our students.
The Faculty is able to fulfill this mission through its scientific activity, and beyond that, it can provide our partner companies with valuable tools in monitoring and updating knowledge.
The implemention of our Research Strategy is based upon the promotion of the scientific policy and the management of relations with our stakeholders.
Our two Institutes play a major role in that scheme, by hosting chairs for instance, in collaboration with partner companies and research institutes outside the school (particularly research institutes in professional field practices).
Since the beginning of the 2010/2011 school-year four (4) chairs were signed for in CSR with Fleury-Michon, Alstom, IMA and Voies Navigables de France. Similarly, an institute - observatoire de la diversité - was set up in 2010/2011 with Direction Régionale de la Poste to study diversity among their personnel. This institute will be thought-provoking for our research teams as far as Sustainable Development and CSR are concerned. It will also serve as a learning ground for many of our Master students when they produce their final dissertation.
