This work-study programme trains managers capable of dealing with CSR issues as well as commercial and financial constraints.
It offers many career possibilities: sales engineer (link to details below) in the environmental sector, environmental consultant (link to details below), project manager, independent consultant… Graduates of the Master in Management & the Environment are above all specialists who are capable of leading complex projects that are adapted to a new economic playing field and the challenges that have emerged from the Grenelle environmental round table concerning French and European markets.
* Sales engineers in the environmental sector are in charge of designing and proposing solutions adapted to customers’ needs that also comply with specific technical standards. Their role includes negotiating contracts. They manage and coordinate operations to meet targets set for costs, deadlines and performance. Their activities can include finding new customers and they are responsible for each stage of the project. Their role is, above all, that of a developer who handles negotiations and relations with the customer in order to ensure the project's success.
* Environmental consultants are professionals whose roles are often linked to economic development on local, regional or national levels. They work in areas such as renewable energies, water, air, waste, habitat or urban development. They can also work as experts for engineering offices or associations, or within a dedicated department of a firm. In terms of skills, they analyse environmental issues, examining their technical, legal, economic and social components, and prefer to act within a network. They advise senior managers and propose tangible and effective solutions.
