In a global economy, firms need to achieve a high level of performance in all their processes, starting with purchasing. To achieve this, they need to rely on solid skills in identifying and selecting loyal suppliers, but also in the daily management of their supply chains.
The programme offered by La Rochelle Business School aims to provide students with the skills required to set up and monitor a purchasing and supply chain management strategy.
* Purchasing: Due to its strategic nature, purchasing is one of the most important factors in business margins. In this context, buyers need to roll out sophisticated techniques that require specific training.
* Supply Chain Management: Purchasing is closely linked to logistics. Logistics operations are initiated by buyers as soon as technical specifications have been determined and sometimes immediately after the contract has been signed. Today, a buyer must be familiar with the key principles of logistics, just as a logistician must be aware of purchasing imperatives and constraints.
